Customer Services Officer
Immediate Start – Part Time (1-2 days per week)
6 month Fixed Term (Flexible roster and hours, with the possibility of ongoing employment)
The Shire of Boyup Brook is looking for a friendly, motivated and community-minded person to join our team as a Customer Service Officer. If you enjoy helping people, working in a supportive environment, and being part of a team that makes a real difference in the community, this could be the perfect role for you.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Providing friendly, helpful and professional customer service
- Assisting with administration, finance tasks and records management
- Learning on the job with guidance from a supportive and welcoming team
- Accurately receipting payments and assisting with front counter enquiries
- Working in a positive, supportive team environment
What We’re Looking For
- A positive attitude and genuine willingness to learn
- Friendly, confident communication skills
- Good organisation and attention to detail
- Ability to multitask in a busy front line environment
- An interest in local government and helping your community
Desirable Skills & Experience
Customer service and/or reception experience
- Strong communication and public relations skills, including reception and phone, and the ability to manage a range of customer enquiries and complaints
- Developing computer skills with competency in typing, keyboard use and numeracy
- Cash handling or point of sale experience
- Knowledge of the Boyup Brook community (advantageous)
