Cleaner
We are seeking a highly organised Cleaner with the ability to work independently and to a high professional standard for the Shire of Boyup Brook Buildings and facilities.
About the Shire
The Shire of Boyup Brook owns and operates several facilities including:
- Administration building
- Depot building
- Medical Centre
- Early Learning Centre
- Swimming pool and gym
- Rylington Park Farm (accommodation and events)
- Public toilets – Town Hall, Visitor Centre, Sporting Precinct
- Caravan Park
- Town Hall
About the Role
We are currently seeking a cleaner to work across multiple Shire facilities.
The specific responsibilities might include:
- Detailed cleans of public areas including offices, facilities & washrooms
- Collection, segregation and disposal of waste
- Spot cleaning, including mopping, sweeping, vacuuming
- Toilet, external areas and walkway cleaning
- Ensuring compliance with company procedures are met.
- Responding to scheduled and ad-hoc Shire requests
All applicants must be willing to undergo and successfully complete a police check and Working with Children Check as a condition of employment.
Applicants who are not Australian Citizens or Permanent Residents must provide proof of entitlement to work including any restrictions on hours of work.

About You:
The successful candidate will be expected to
- Have proven ability to work independently
- Experience in safe manual handling techniques and use of chemicals
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and public holidays
- Demonstrated cleaning experience to a professional standard
If you are not experienced in this field but are a dedicated worker and willing to learn training will be provided to the right candidate.
Remuneration
Position is Level 3 classification of the Local Government Industry Award 2020 (State) plus applicable Adverse Working Conditions allowance.
