Ranger – Part Time (negotiable - 3 days/week) $31-37/hour

The Shire of Boyup Brook is seeking an enthusiastic and proactive individual to join our team as a Part Time Ranger. This role offers an opportunity to engage with our community, educate on important issues, administer and ensure compliance with various Acts, Regulations, Local Laws and Council Policies.

While previous experience in a similar role or related field is highly regarded, we welcome candidates who demonstrate a willingness to learn and grow in their role. Training for suitable candidates will be available to assist in fulfilling your responsibilities as required.
What’s required:
- Current C Class drivers’ licence is essential
- Certificates in Regulatory Officer Compliance Skills (ROCS1) and Regulatory Officer Compliance Skills (ROCS2) are desirable
- Ability to interpret, enforce and administer relevant Acts, regulations and Local Laws
- Strong community focus with effective communication and interpersonal skills, with demonstrated ability to liaise, consult and negotiate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders
- Effective time management and organisational skills with the ability to work in both a team environment and autonomously as required.
- Good level of computer proficiency including the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook
- Knowledge and understanding of health and safety relevant to work activities
This part time position is offered at Level 4 classification (Local Government Industry Award 2020 (State)) above award rate of $31-37 per hour, depending on experience.
A suitably equipped Ranger Vehicle and mobile phone are provided for business use.
