Manager Governance and Compliance

The Shire of Boyup Brook is seeking an experienced and motivated Manager Governance & Compliance to lead the Shire's governance, compliance, risk and procurement functions.
Remote, hybrid and part time arrangements will be considered for the right candidate.
The Role
This key leadership role is responsible for providing strategic governance and legislative advice to the Executive Management team, coordinating Council and Committee processes, managing governance and compliance frameworks, overseeing procurement activities, and supporting audit and risk management across the organisation.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing strategic governance and legislative advice to the Executive Management team
- Managing governance, risk, audit and compliance frameworks
- Leading procurement, tendering and contract administration processes
- Supporting transparent, accountable and compliant decision making across the organisation
About You
You will be a governance focused professional with demonstrated experience in local government or the public sector and possess:
- Strong knowledge of governance, compliance and procurement practices
- Excellent organisational, analytical and problem solving skills
- Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- The ability to provide practical, solutions focused advice within a legislative environment
- A commitment to teamwork, integrity and continuous improvement
