The Shire is happy to announce the hard work behind the scenes is complete with works on the new playground and surrounding play spaces set to commence next week.
Sandakan Park Playground will be closed from today with the fencing posts and shade sail posts being removed followed by demolition works scheduled to commence on Monday 9th December 2024.
There are several aspects to the new play spaces including the fenced playground along with external areas such as a ninja warrior course, dog park, adult exercise area, boulder climbing, flying fox, table tennis and BBQ facilities. The area will be fenced off during works and we ask that you please do not enter this space during the demolition and construction phase of the project.
