SUBMISSIONS NOW OPEN
Proposal: Local Planning Policy - PD10 Caravan Park
The Shire of Boyup Brook has endorsed a draft Caravan Park policy for advertising purposes. At the 25 September 2025 Meeting, Council resolved to advertise the new (draft) Caravan Park Policy, which makes the following key requirements:
All caravan parks on private property are to ensure the following:
- There is a caretaker living on-site.
- A suitable supply of water for drinking and firefighting.
- Facilities provided for managing rubbish.
- Effluent disposal facilities are provided (toilet or dump point).
- Suitable access.
The standards are considered appropriate to address the availability of public resources and provide a sufficient level of health and environmental safeguards.
How to view the new (draft) Caravan Park Policy
The new (draft) Caravan Park Policy is available as a hard copy at the Shire office, 55 Abel Street Boyup Brook, or can be viewed electronically HERE
How to make a submission
Comments on the proposal may be submitted to the Shire of Boyup Brook in writing before Monday 3rd November 2025. Comments may be posted to the Shire of Boyup Brook, PO Box 2, Boyup Brook WA 6244, or emailed to [email protected]
All submissions must include the following information:
- Your name, address and contact telephone number.
- How your interests are affected, whether as a private citizen, on behalf of a company or other organisation, or as an owner or occupier of property.
- Address of property affected - if applicable.
- Whether your submission is in support of or objecting to the proposal and provide any arguments supporting your comments.
Unless specifically requested otherwise; all submissions received may be made public at a Council meeting and included in a Council Agenda, which will be available on the Shire’s website.
