The Shire of Boyup Brook proudly congratulates former Shire President Richard Walker on receiving a Merit Award at the 2026 WALGA Local Government Awards.
The Merit Award recognises Richard's outstanding contribution to Local Government and his many years of dedicated service to the Boyup Brook community.
Richard served as an Elected Member, Deputy Shire President and Shire President. Throughout his time in office, he demonstrated strong leadership, integrity and an unwavering commitment to serving our Shire. His dedication, together with his advocacy for rural communities has made a significant contribution to Boyup Brook.
The Shire Council and staff extend their sincere congratulations to Richard on this well-deserved recognition and thank him for his lasting contribution to our Shire.
