Thinking of burning off? Don’t forget your permit!
The restricted burning season commenced on the 9th of October and will run through to the 20th of November subject to weather conditions.
If you’re planning a burn in the townsite, please remember the Shire does not issue “next day burn permits”, therefore you need to allow time if applying to burn over a weekend.
If your property is outside the town boundaries, permit requests should be directed to your local Fire Control Officer (FCO) listed in the orange Emergency Information and Bushfire Control 2025/2026 flip book. This information is also available on the Shire website HERE
