Farm Hand – Part Time – Flexible Roster (school hours available)

Rylington Park is an operational farm and educational facility gifted to the Shire of Boyup Brook in 1985 by the late Mr Eric Farleigh.
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Farm Hand, with a strong focus on sheep work and livestock care. This role offers flexible hours, including the option to work during school hours, and is ideal for someone who enjoys working with animals in a practical farm environment.
Key Responsibilities (Sheep & Livestock):
- Handling and moving sheep for drafting, marking, drenching, shearing and general husbandry tasks
- Monitoring animal health and assisting with treatment and welfare practices
- Supporting lambing operations and seasonal livestock requirements
- Assisting with feed management and paddock rotations
Additional Farm Duties May Include:
- Operation of farm machinery and equipment during cropping programs and trials
- Basic pasture management and support with trial plots
- General farm maintenance such as fencing, water management, and general maintenance tasks
This is a hands-on role suited to someone with a strong work ethic, practical skills, and an interest in agriculture.
The below experience will be highly considered:
- Experience with handling sheep and animal husbandry
- Operating plant and equipment (preferred but not essential)
- Farm hand duties
- Knowledge and understanding of health and safety relevant to work activities
- Current White Card – Construction WA
- Current Drivers Licence (HR preferred)
Training will be provided to the successful candidate as required.
This position commences at Level 4 classification of the Shire of Boyup Brook Outside Employees Enterprise Agreement 2024.
