The Council will provide the provision of financial assistance to promote and support community-based initiatives which meet the Shire’s strategic direction annually through the Community Grants Program.

This is an annual application based, contestable funding opportunity for a once off contribution for a specific purpose. The Community Grants Program opens in March each year and closes the last Friday of April. The applications are reviewed in May and the recommendations go to Council for consideration during the adoption of the annual budget.

Applications that address the Shire of Boyup Brook’s Strategic Community Plan will have a stronger likelihood of success. Click on the link to access the Strategic Community Plan

Important dates

Applications open: Thursday, 7 March 2024

Applications close: Friday, 26 April 2024

Assessment panel: May 2024

Applicants will be notified: September 2024 after the adoption of the annual budget

Signed Funding Agreement and invoice due: no later than 30 October 2024

Acquittal due: within 60 days of completing the event/activity
