FLOODING MAY DEVELOP IN THE BLACKWOOD RIVER
Ex-Tropical Cyclone Seroja has now crossed into the Salt Lakes District and is expected to cross into the Bight during this afternoon.
The Tropical Cyclone feed a band of moisture into the South West which caused widespread heavy rainfall over the South West District.
Widespread rainfall totals for the last 24 hours to 9am Monday of 60 - 80 mm were recorded in the Blackwood River catchment with isolated falls up to 105mm.
The Blackwood may receive further rainfall totals of up to 10 mm during Monday.
Rainfall to date is causing stream rises in the Blackwood River, rises are expected to continue during Monday with areas of flooding likely. Some roads may be affected. Some communities and homesteads may become isolated.
Check road conditions before travelling and NEVER drive into flood waters.
Catchments likely to be affected include: Blackwood River
Flooding is no longer expected in the following catchments: Wooramel River, Murchison River, Greenough River, Yarra Yarra Lakes District, Moore and Hill Rivers, Avon River, Salt Lakes District Rivers.

Flood Safety Advice:
DFES advises people and communities to be aware that flooding is possible and be prepared to relocate equipment and livestock. Watch water levels. Travellers need to be aware that road conditions may be adversely affected and travel plans may need to be reconsidered. Do not drive into water of unknown depth and velocity.
