Blooming Wild Weekend Saturday 9 and Sunday 10 October

Blooming Wildflower bus Tour will travel out to see the wonderful wildflowers at Tonebridge and includes a picnic lunch.

Art on Abel is held in Abel Park by the Visitor Centre.  The Little Art Gallery situated in the Visitor Centre will spill out into Abel Park and showcase local artworks and working artists.

Walk on the Wild Side is a collection trail.  This year our feature is Classic and Vintage Cars and tractors with the highlight being Bert’s Garage in Railway Parade, a brand new attraction for our town.

Other attractions include the Beetles and Butterfly and local crafts in the Visitor Centre, Photography Exhibition at the Community Centre, a collection of crafts in the CWA room, textile craft at Little Sew & Sew and Country Music Memorabilia.  Going further around town is working machinery at the Pioneers Museum, Mick’s Pigs, Quacking Frog Teapot Shed and Barbara’s Treasures. Around town check out the Wall Art, Art and Sculpture walks.

A 5km drive will take you out to the amazing Harvey Dickson’s Country Music Centre.

Blooming Wildflower Bus Tour:  Cost is $20 and includes lunch. Booking is essential. Please call the Boyup Brook Visitor Centre on 9765 1444.  Please bring a hat, suitable clothing for the forecasted weather, water bottle and extra food if needed.  Bus leaves at 9.00am from the old Railway Station where the Wall Art is.  Arrive back in Boyup Brook at 3.00pm.

In Town, if you’re a bit hungry after walking the trail then coffee/cake and lunch can be found at the Treehouse Coffee Lounge and Blue Stone Café and a BBQ at Old Dogs, Dirt and Diesel at the bottom of Bridge Street where the Classic cars are on display.

A bit of Aussie culture in Abel Park from 1pm – 2pm when our Bush Poets will have their say along with working artists.

 

Wearable Tunes Art Parade

(Summary)

Wearable Tunes Art Parade is presented by the Rabbit Hole from Bridgetown. It is a fashion parade but the artist outfits have been inspired by their favourite song.

 Pecha Kucha Story - Keep Hope Close is a short heart warming presentation by Artist, Christine Latham, who put on canvas her thoughts during the 2020 COVID lockdown.

Bookings are essential. Please call Rhonda on 0428 653 079 to book your ticket - $25/head. This also includes a Grazing table and the bar is open for refreshments.

Gather your friends and make up a table of 4 or 8 people. Individuals are welcome.
