We are currently looking for an enthusiastic and committed Medical Receptionist on a Fixed Term/Part-time basis (12 Month Maternity Cover), to join our friendly and supportive team at the Boyup Brook Medical Centre.  Our practice provides a flexible work environment with training and support.

 Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Booking patient appointments.
  • Taking incoming telephone calls and assisting with patient enquiries
  • Managing patient’s billing and receipting, preparation and maintenance of practice scheduling, scanning and filing.
  • Assist Doctors with day to day administrative support and take an active part in working closely with other team members to manage daily tasks.
  • Function in a highly organised and time efficient manner at all times.

The Shire of Boyup Brook is located within the South West Region of Western Australian.

 An exciting and challenging opportunity has now arisen for a Ranger to administer the requirements of the Dog Act, Local Government Act and other legislation, regulations and local laws in line with the Shire objectives of maintaining a high standard of amenity for the community. 

This position is offered with flexible hours, minimum being 40 hours per fortnight with the option of the hours being extended if required.

The Shire is committed to provide training and support for the right person if necessary.  Other skills in Occupational Health and Safety, assisting training programs and logistical support to Bush Fire Brigades are highly desirable.

SELECTION CRITERIA

To be considered for this position, applicants must address the below Selection Criteria.

 ESSENTIAL

  • Previous experience working as a ranger, or in animal husbandry, or as an enforcement officer.
  • Proven ability to read, understand, and apply acts and legislation.
  • You must be eligible to work in Australia.
  • Current Police Clearance & ‘C’ Class Driver’s Licence (WA)
  • Well-developed customer service skills with strong communication (written and oral) and problem-solving skills with an ability to positively influence community compliance.
  • Working knowledge of/and experience in the usage of computer systems, information technology and communications equipment.
  • Experience or willingness to work in rural environments.
  • A certificate IV in Local Government (Regulatory Services) or Certificate in Regulatory Officer Compliance skills (ROCS) 1 and 2, or Municipal Law Enforcement A&B, or working knowledge of WA Dog and Cat Act, Bush Fires Act, Litter Act, Camping Act, Local Government Act or be willing to undertake training and obtain these qualifications.

 DESIRABLE

  • Previous experience in undertaking bush fire inspections and a working knowledge of Bushfire management principles and practices. Ability to support Bush Fire Brigade in training plans, logistics and public relations.
  • Practical application of Occupational Health and Safety measure and legislation in the workplace.
  • Working knowledge of Local Government Local Law principles, practices, and responsibilities.
