The Shire of Boyup Brook Disability Access and Inclusion Plan (DAIP) aims to embrace the principles that assist in creating a more accessible and inclusive community, by ensuring people with disability have the same opportunities as other people to services of, and events organised by the shire.

This includes, but is not limited to;

  • access to shire owned buildings and other facilities
  • ability to access information in an appropriate format
  • the right to receive the same level of service, and
  • the right to participate in the consultation process 

It should be noted that the plan is not limited to physical disability but any condition that affects a person's capacity to communicate, interact with others, learn and get about independently.

The Shire's Disability Access and Inclusion Plan is due for renewal in 2018 and as part of the process a public authority is required by section 28(10) of the Western Australian Disability and Services Act 1993 and Regulations 2004,  to consult with relevant groups and people.

An easy online survey is available using the link below, to assist capture views and comments so they can be considered as part of the review process.


Your contributions to this process will result in the development of strategies which will form the key part of the plan for the next five year period.
