Picnic Sites (No Camping)
Visitor Centre Reserve
This small park is in the heart of the town behind the oldest building in the townsite, home to the Visitor Information Centre, the Carnaby Beetle and Butterfly Collection and the Kradle Doll collection and many local products for sale. Also find picnic tables; gazebo; disabled access toilets with baby changing facilities; close to shops grassed area and shady trees.
Sandakan Park
Located behind the Town Hall and right in the middle of town this park is home to the Sandakan Memorial which honours those prisoners of war who lost their lives in the Borneo Death Marches in WWII and offers:- free BBQ; access to power point and water; gazebo shelters; picnic tables; a large playground under sails; skateboard rink; three hologram sculptures; open parkland; access to toilets behind the Town Hall.
Lions/Tourism Park
Set on the banks of the Blackwood River on the road to Kojonup this park has a natural bush setting and provides picnic tables; toilets; water and night lighting. The Bi centennial Walk Trail along the river leads to the Music Park where the sound shell; water; picnic table and outdoor gym equipment can be enjoyed and a visit into the Caravan Park will provide an opportunity to see the only remaining Flax Mill site with-in Australia with interesting buildings and a sand sculpture of international standard.
Music Park
Situated on the riverside in Jackson Street on the way to the Flax Mill Caravan Park the Music Park offers picnic table; water; large open spaces and outdoor gym equipment. This facility is a designated dog exercise area together with the nearby oval. A stroll along the Bicentennial Walk Trail by the river will bring you out at the Lions/Tourism Park. This trail is 6 km long and travels around the outskirts of the town through two bush reserves where wild flowers are abundant in season and along the banks of the Boyup Brook to return you to this point. The nearby Flax Mill and Caravan Park site is worth a visit.
Boyup Brook Billabong
On the banks of the Boyup Brook this is a fully natural setting where a very small pool and rock formations provide a tranquil experience. Access is across the footbridge behind the Railway buildings. On the way down to the water you will find a picnic table where if you are very lucky and quiet and patient you may see robin red breasts or blue wrens amongst other small bird life. Much work is being carried out to try to restore this part of the Brook to its former natural beauty.
Condinup Reserve
Large reserve with many wildflowers in season with access from Condinup Crossing Road at the Boyup Brook/Arthur Road end.

Where the actual Crossing Culvert over the River is found (S 33© 46’ 20.3” – E 116© 31’ 03.6”) a look around will reveal an old homestead nearby (artists photo opportunity). Take all rubbish when leaving. Fires banned from 30th October to 1st April.
Newlgalup (S 33© 48’ 21” – E 116© 26’ 43.3”)
On Boyup Brook/ Arthur Road, 7km from town; lovely beach-like picnic spot at Blackwood River: shallow water shelving gradually most of the time; no facilities; a precarious walk towards town along the remains of the railway line will reveal three bridges one after the other – only the sure-footed should attempt this. Take all rubbish when leaving. Fires banned from 30th October to 1st April.

Trigwells Bridge (S 33© 40’ 27.1” – E 116© 35’ 55.6”)
On the boundary of the Shire of Boyup Brook and the Shire of West Arthur at the Bridge over the Blackwood River on the Boyup Brook / Arthur Road. Is on Shire of W. A. land; close to road; entrance off Trigwell Bridge Road; ample room for caravans to park and turn around; picnic table; access to the riverside; large pool suitable for water craft. When sufficient water in river this can be a starting point for a canoe journey right through to Boyup Brook. No swimming due to underwater snags. Take all rubbish when leaving. Camping and cooking fires banned from 30th October to 1st April.
Eulin Crossing Reserve (S 33© 42’ 04” - E 116© 40’ 27.9”)
Access into Eulin Crossing Road from Boyup Brook / Arthur Road or Kulikup North Road. Campsite at Kulikup Nth Rd end; Excellent for a bush picnic; picnic table; flat sandy beach-like access to river; earthen boat launching ramp; large pool 6km long and very wide in some places; very popular for water activities; water birds; wildflowers in season. Beware of underwater snags if swimming. Large enough for several camp sites; suitable for smaller caravans, campervans and tents. No facilities. Take all rubbish when leaving. Camping and cooking fires banned from 30th October to 1st April.
Querijup Pool (S - 33© 58’ 01.2” E - 116© 30’ 38.9”)
Entrance left off Scotts Brook Road 6 km from BB / Kojonup Road; near to Scotts Brook vineyard; a large reserve; open bush parkland; track leads to quiet crossing on Scotts Brook; good camping; many native birds and kangaroos; no facilities. Take all rubbish when leaving. Camping and cooking fires banned from 30th October to 1st April.
Tone Bridge (S - 34© 13’ 39” E - 116© 42’ 15.9”)
Entrance off BB/ Cranbrook Road next to Bridge over the Tone River, south side. Overnight stop or picnic area; BBQ; picnic tables; toilet; shelter; easy access for caravans. Take all rubbish when leaving. Fires banned from 30th October to 1st April.
